Let Us Protect Your Rights

Upon being arrested for a drug-related DUI, the police officer may request you to undergo three standardized field sobriety tests, including the horizontal-gaze nystagmus, the one-leg stand, and the walk-and-turn, as well as BAC tests. Our Savannah attorney understands how unreliable these tests can be, since field sobriety tests are difficult to take even for a sober individual and BAC testing equipment may be out of calibration. Don’t let a drug-related DUI ruin your reputation, and let our firm fight for you.

What To Expect When You Work With Our Firm

Choosing a lawyer after a drug-related DUI arrest can feel overwhelming, especially if this is your first experience with the criminal justice system. When you come to our office, we walk you through what will happen in the local courts and help you understand the likely timeline of your case. From your initial consultation through any hearings in Chatham County Recorder’s Court or State Court, we keep you informed so you are never left wondering what comes next or what your options are.

During an initial meeting, we typically review the incident report, listen to your account of the stop and arrest, and identify immediate concerns such as license issues or upcoming court dates. We then begin gathering records, such as video footage, chemical test results, and prior driving history, so we can evaluate the strength of the state’s case.

As your case moves forward, we advise you about possible plea offers, pretrial motions, and the risks and benefits of going to trial based on the evidence that has been collected. We also discuss practical steps you can take, such as completing recommended treatment or driving courses, that may be viewed positively by the court. Our goal is to make sure you feel supported and prepared at every stage, whether you are appearing in a Savannah-area courtroom for a brief hearing or a contested trial.
